The Acu-Pen is an electronic testing device for finding acupuncture points electronically. Active acupuncture points have a different resistance to a tiny electrical current passed through the body than do adjacent tissue. Researchers have verified that electrical conductance at the active acupuncture point is a significantly greater than surrounding tissue. The device allows a person to locate the most active acupuncture point for laser treatment with a high percentage of accuracy. The Acu-Pen features 3 levels of sensitivity when an active point is located it is indicated with a tone, a green LED and a sensitivity percentage displayed which can be held in memory. It features an auto off after 1 min to conserve batter life (Requires too LR44 1.5 Volt button batteries which are supplied) Unit has a low battery display to show when to change batteries.
