Understand that with this particular bulb,, the housing may have to be modified for the bulb to fit.
Side ribs must be removed when installing the E22h-180W lamp into the original Mitsubishi lamp housing. See the yellow arrows in the picture below. The modification requires enlarging the inside of the housing. We use a dremmel tool but many homeowners use a pocket knife.
Osram made 2 different bulbs for this housing and specifically made a bulb for Mitsubishi to be installed on the factory line. The replacement bulb they made is slightly larger by an 1/8" around overall.. The corners are the major hangup.. Some models no modifications are necessary..
